The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
